I carry you every where
just not in my heart,
And keep losing my mind
at the thought of a new start.
Sleepless nights
and exhausted will,
My soul is lost
at the top of a hill.
You’re the most prominent scar
on my chest,
Keep getting worse
if I stop to rest.
I keep you
at the top of my lungs
as a reminder of what not to breathe,
It keeps me empty and fine
just like a swordless sheath.

Hello there, Kajal here! I started blogging in September, 2018. It was purely random as I needed a space to pour my heart and thoughts out. This place is like my safe heaven where I let my fingers and feelings run free to curate poems and to rant about things that are bothering my thoughts. My journey here has been bittersweet and wonderful at the same time. But because of all the love I receive here, I keep coming back to read and to write. You all have been great support and advicers to me and I'm really grateful. Your feedback, emails and comments keep the mermaid inside me going :)

Very powerful Kajal, You and your Poem! Insightful and deeply penetrating about the depth of forlorn love’s painful grip on a soul leaving scars that remain hidden from sight. But, also the hope is hidden in there too, that with expectant determination and faith one can rise above the ashes just like the epic Phoenix, a free and boundless spirit of “victory!” God Bless.

Hi there Kajal,
You know you do that to me many times too! I really like that; and I should and will continue to keep a smile on your face; if you can put up with me, LOL!
Again, a very nice poem and you do have a creative sensitivity I truly enjoy; but most of all you are a lovely good Lady!
God bless you and yours!
Peace be with you.
Your friend,
