If I was a writer

If I was a writer
I’d write you love letters
perfectly folded
in the scent of wind
hidden under the silk sheets
from me to you
it can be a gift.
And I’d dip my pen in your hair
to check the length of your curls
and to steal the ink from you;
Your skin is a rainbow.
And I’d steal all your worries
like the rain
and store away the stuff that
steal your smile;
the thing you label as pain.
But I read somewhere
that pen is a writer’s sword
and I can’t harm the one
I adore the most
So I won’t pretend
to be a writer
and will sit here hoping
you’re falling in love
with me , almost?

Hello there, Kajal here! I started blogging in September, 2018. It was purely random as I needed a space to pour my heart and thoughts out. This place is like my safe heaven where I let my fingers and feelings run free to curate poems and to rant about things that are bothering my thoughts. My journey here has been bittersweet and wonderful at the same time. But because of all the love I receive here, I keep coming back to read and to write.You all have been great support and advicers to me and I'm really grateful. Your feedback, emails and comments keep the mermaid inside me going :)

I believe that you have a talent for writing unique poetry if there are other poems you’ve penned as enjoyable as this selection. Keep up the writing. I wish that I’d read more poetry when I felt better about life in general.

I liked the flow but in a couple places it hiccuped but overall ? cool, almost a conversation I could hear, check out the word ‘steel’ as a foil to steal, and (I had the same issue) make it personal “my silk sheets” because later you used “my pen”, just a thought, do your thing of course, I hope you don’t think my suggestions are mean in any way shape or form, I would not waste a blink on a sink, if you know what I mean.

Very pretty and genuine it seems to me. Yes, the pen is mightier than the sword and its always better for humans to resolve their differences with writing or even bring them to the table of peace and negotiation using diplomacy over brute force and power begetting power for its own sake; lust for power and control is a grave error that sprung forth from the many sins of destruction that befell humans when they didn’t ere, which is still Divine; to what God the Creator had told them, they took matters upon themselves which was the beginning of vanity and transgression from God as they were deceived by the serpent, the master of all lies and evil. Now we live in such a precarious dilemma of trying to physically survive and deal with the many accompanying hardships, but, more importantly we now have our very immortal souls in the balance, which need to be reconciled and saved from damnation which is real and will take any of us if we aren’t vigilant in doing the required work of caring for and nurturing our souls with God’s truth and will, by the power of His Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ the only Savior and Redeemer, of human souls, that will come to Him humbly with a contrite and open heart, offering it to Him above all else that we see, feel and hear in this existence, because, now all here is vanity and loss, without first and foremost, kneeling before Jesus with our hearts wide open and asking for His forgiveness! Personally, I can say I don’t do well enough on my own at times and then suddenly I’m feeling so broken and lost in a chaos of unbelievable magnitude, that I grow so weary, I beg Him to please accept my greatest apology as I cry and even now thinking of it I cry again, for being such a wretch; but, I know better too, that is what he wants us to do is recognize our own folly and lack, bringing it to His alter of forgiveness and mercy, and in doing this the connection is made strong, so we climb the mountain or steep staircase to heaven with Him leading the way, while He actually wipes the tears away and like He tells me, Lawrence don’t make it a misery to see your faults and flaws, when you come to me with that genuine sorrow in your heart, I know you as one of my precious lambs which I love more than you can know for now in your present form; but, trust me and now rejoice in this truth I give to you, so that you have hope in your heart and feel my love, let it consume you’re entire being, body, mind and spirit and I’m always here to wipe your tears away and give you the forgiveness you so desperately need; and I see you want! This is our way to march and listen to the beat of this drum, the drum I hear beating, is the precious heart of Jesus Christ Himself! Amen to you and all. Amen.
Good work here; Kajal! Bless you.

Also the first two lines really remind me of a song, or maybe it’s two songs I’m thinking of at the same time :).

Oh, I’ve found them!

God, the second one is bringing back strong memories! Of time before my life got put on hold 😆.

Ooooh. Very nice. It reminded me of the last two women I loved. They both stopped reading my love letters, not only because of my terrible handwriting, but because the words I used to write were too powerful. Too emotional. What other use is there for words?
