Watertight compartments

A house always does
what a house should do
no matter the cost,
for the benefits are worth.

A high wall, a decorated lawn
Pretty to look at
hard to be seen.
A tall gate, beautiful colours
Stone-cold beauty
Impregnable.

Empty marbles
Indeed a marvel!
A graveyard waiting for all
to join in,
Can’t claim all the land.
Why don’t you just live?

Happy World Poetry Day!

Poetry.
Words is general mean so much to me. In one way or another, they keep me sane. Poems helped me in a way I could never express in words (see the irony!)
I read everything I can, it’s the only thing, I think I am good at. Words have always been showing me the immense possibility; for us humans – the possibility of life. I am not a poetry aficionado, to be honest. But what I had read, has moved me to a state of such dilemma, I wanted to turn the world upside down and make it better, for everyone (in my own way).
Poetry made me realise that writing can show me what I wanted out of life. I want many things, but nothing beats poetry. I feel deeply connected to it. The shared appreciation and love for poems have helped me reach where I am right now, meet people, helping me discover communities of like minded people, not just in India but from across the world.
It’s like a bridge.
I’m always thankful to poetry and words.

285 days.

Hey! Hi! And Hello!

I am still counting days? Well, I think I’m good at it. How I missed being here and how I missed my 3rd year anniversary here! Anyways I’m trying to be back and feels good.

It’s been long and I’m kind of looking forward to it, this time (again). I have read all the mails and I have noticed many of you coming back here and reading previous posts. I’m truly grateful for this affection and trust.

Let me know how you all have been. And I know many of us don’t like to say that loud in comments, so you’re welcome to share this via email.

Be well. I’m yet to catch up with a lot of people. I’ll be writing here shortly, 1 post/week for the time being .

731 days of mermaid

Here’s to unbelievable 2 years.

I am very fortunate to stick around here for this long time and of course it’s all because ALL OF YOU. Thank you very much for believing in my words and staying here. Your constant support keep me going.

I changed my blog URL this August ( in first week) and due to drastic changes I lost all my will and hopes to blog anymore. But after being in constant touch with WordPress happiness engine, effort of the team and unbelievable support and faith of Sumeet I am able to see changes and my blog is getting better day by day. So, if you’re seeing this post, do let me know if you can comment and like , if not please let me know about the same via Gmail.

Like I said last year, I love being on WordPress, hoping to meet y’all next year same day.

Thank you <3

Gratitude

Hello everyone,

Yesterday I got a notification from WordPress about crossing 5k, of course it made me happy but I really didn’t believe it until one of my friends sent me a screenshot.
Numbers never really mattered ( because I suck at maths and I am fan of puns xD) but today they does and I can’t explain in words how much they matter.
Past few months have been weird and you won’t believe, some days blog was my only motivation to not to give up.
Thank you all for believing in me, always encouraging and checking on me ( I have read all the mails and I couldn’t be more grateful).
Thank you for being here at times when I couldn’t.❤
